Clean Energy Funding Solutions offers Sustainable Design and Engineering Services designed to deliver Energy Efficient Architectural Developments.

Since 2006, Clean Energy Funding Solutions has completed hundreds of solar installations for residential homeowners in California. With our turn-key process, we design and install your solar panel system, including handling all the permits and rebates. CESF has the expertise to help you build a brighter future and realize immediate savings—often with $0 down!

Going Solar GraphicA solar energy system may seem complex, but there are no moving parts and minimal maintenance. It’s technology at its best—sustainable, clean energy from a renewable resource. See how you can benefit from solar!

Clean Energy Funding Solutions wants you to understand what you’re purchasing and how it works. Although they may look complicated, solar panels have no moving parts and require very little maintenance other than occasional cleaning. An inverter takes the DC power directly from the solar panels and converts it to the same AC power that your home uses. Solar + battery storage is a great combination, but batteries are optional. At CEFS, we care about helping homeowners plan for future energy consumption. Did you know that the average American household consumes 5% more power year over year? That matched with the rising cost of power and fuel, the time to go solar now has never been greater.

Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity that your home can use, reducing your electricity bills. The solar cells, which are also referred to as photovoltaic cells, absorb sunlight during daylight hours.
You now have solar panels working efficiently to transform sunlight into electricity, but the electricity generated is called direct current (or DC) electricity, which is not the type of electricity that powers most homes, which is alternating current (or AC) electricity. Fortunately, DC electricity can easily be changed into AC electricity by a gadget called an inverter. In modern solar systems, these inverters can be configured as one inverter for the entire system or as individual microinverters attached behind the panels.
Your monitoring system sends information about how much power your solar system is producing in real-time so you can maintain optimal system performance.
On cloudy days and overnight, your solar panels may not be able to capture enough sunlight to use for energy; conversely, in the middle of the day when nobody is home, they may collect surplus energy—more than you need to operate your home. That’s why a meter is used to measure the electricity flowing in both directions—to and from your home. Your utility company will often provide credits for any surplus power you send back to the grid. This is known as net metering. To learn more about NEM 3.0 click here.

New ITC Stepdown ChartFederal Investment Tax Credit – 30%
The solar investment tax credit (ITC) is a dollar-for-dollar reduction in the income taxes that a person or company claiming the credit would otherwise pay the federal government. The federal ITC is based on 30% of the homeowner’s cost to install solar. The lessor collects this incentive on leased systems and passes the savings on to the homeowner. Don’t wait; prices for solar equipment are on the rise!

Texas Incentives
Texas offers many state and local incentives for going solar. One of the most popular and now most controversial is Net Metering (NEM). NEM allows homeowners to earn credits for any excess solar electricity sent to the grid when the solar panel system generates more than needed.

However, after years of back and forth, the Texas Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) voted unanimously on December 15, 2022, to approve Texas’s third iteration of net metering, or NEM 3.0. This will significantly reduce net metering compensation rates for new Texas solar customers (by about 75%). However, through April 13, 2023, you must submit a completed interconnection application and lock in NEM 2.0 rates for 20 years.

Property Value RiseProperty Tax Exemption – 100% through 2024
Installing solar panels on your home increases its value by up to 20 times your annual energy bill savings. We don’t think you should be penalized for your sustainable decision, and many state legislators agree! Until 2024, new solar installations will be subject to no additional property taxes based on their assessed value.

Increase Home Value
Having a residential solar energy system on your property is a capital improvement that adds to your property’s value. This means you can sell your home faster and for more than homes without solar. Your investment in efficient, clean solar power also adds to the tax basis of your home. If you sell the house, this tax-based investment can be deducted from the sale’s price, reducing the amount of the price counted as profit. This reduces the taxes taken from the sale and may help you avoid capital gains taxes on the appreciation.

Zero Down Solar Financing
From permitting to installation, we’ll take care of everything. After you order, we’ll gather remote aerial imagery of your home, design your system, take care of any necessary permits, and schedule your installation. Once installed, we’ll schedule an inspection with the city and work with your utility company to receive approval to power it on.

Cash System

Cash Purchase IconIf you have the financial resources available, purchasing your commercial solar system delivers the greatest long-term savings and return on investment. From 2023-2032, you may be able to recover up to 30%* of your system cost through tax incentives. With decades of free electricity, your energy savings will pay for the system in a few short years.

  • Claim tax incentives
  • Your system will pay for itself with savings on your utility bills
  • Increase your property value

Solid Copper. Exceptional Results.
Our Maxeon® solar cell is fundamentally different. And dramatically better. With its unique copper foundation, our solar panel cell technology offers unmatched reliability and allows us to build panels with world-record efficiency. Talk about illuminating.

Unmatched Durability
Conventional solar cells lose power over time because of corrosion and breakage. However, the unique design of SunPower solar cells eliminates 85% of the reasons conventional cells fail. So you’ll enjoy outstanding performance and savings with your commercial or home solar system for decades to come.

Production Guarantee
Over time, all solar panels lose a small amount of production, measured by their annual degradation rate. SunPower panels have the lowest degradation rate in the industry, validated by 3rd party testing. This means that a system with SunPower panels can produce more power than a conventional cell.
